Ken Pogson - Portfolio Manager/Owner

Portfolio Manager/Owner

Ken Pogson has been involved in personal financial planning, retirement planning and wealth management for more than thirty-five years. He spent nineteen years nationally and locally working for Fidelity Investments, one of the world’s largest privately held money managers. His background includes running his own small business prior to his career in financial services. While at Fidelity he held Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 registrations as well as state insurance licenses. Ken is now registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).

Ken helps his clients define their financial goals and develop appropriate strategies for their achievement of life goals. Having a background working for a large company as well as a small business owner gives him invaluable perspective in developing and managing varied and complex wealth plans.

Ken became an independent advisor because he felt the typical Wall Street model of investment firms was under serving many investors. Ken felt that there were limitations to Modern Portfolio Theory which motivated him to find additional investment processes to better serve his clients.

Ken and his partners selected TD Ameritrade/Charles Schwab as their custodian. Having a strong third-party custodian is a very important consideration for independent advisors. Ken believes that TDA/Schwab has an unmatched commitment to providing the highest level of flexible, open-architecture tools and platforms for independent planners. The TDA/Schwab platform provides the strength and flexibility needed for clients with a platform of unbiased investment products and services that allow Ken to jo his job: Guide his clients as a fideuciary on how to best use all of their resources so that they can live the type of life that they aspire to.

Ken and his wife Susan like to spend their leisure time togehter with their two children while enjoying the ideal weather that Arizona has to offer. Ken previously spent a lot of his time in his North Scottsdale community coaching baseball and serving on his local Little League Board. Now that his kids are older, he spends more time with his hobbies that include attending care shows, outdoor grilling and canine frisbee competitions.
