Ken PogsonPartner Ken Pogson has been involved in personal financial planning, retirement planning, and wealth management for more than 20 years. Ken holds the Series 7, 63 and, 65 registrations, as well as insurance licenses. Ken graduated from the University of Houston in 1982 with a B.A. in Finance. He spent 19 years nationally and locally working for Fidelity Investments, the world’s largest privately held money manager. Prior to working for Fidelity, he gained several years of experience running his own small business. Ken helps his clients clearly define their unique financial goals and develop appropriate strategies for their achievement of life goals. Having a background working for a large company as well as a small business gives him valuable perspective in developing and managing varied and complex wealth plans. Ken became an independent advisor because he felt the typical Wall Street model of investment firms was under serving many investors. The limitations of the Modern Portfolio Theory Model for investing have also motivated him to find additional investment processes to better serve his clients. Registered Representatives must be associated with a broker/dealer. Ken has selected Cambridge Investment Research Inc., as his broker/dealer. Having a strong third-party custodian was also a very important consideration and Cambridge Investment Research gives him the flexibility to use National Financial Services to custody clients assets. Ken believes that Cambridge has an unmatched commitment to providing the highest level of flexible, open-architecture fee and commission platforms to independent planners. The Cambridge platform provides an appropriate forum of unbiased investment products and services that allow Ken to do his job: Guide his clients on how to best use all of their resources so that they can live the life they want. Ken and his wife Susan spend their leisure time with their two children. Ken’s hobbies include barbeque grilling and enjoying the beautiful weather that Arizona has to offer. He enjoys the Scottsdale Community and has an active role on the Horizon Little League Baseball Board.
